Salinas to Mission San Antonio, Fort Hunter Liggett, Jolon, CA

1.                  From US-101 at Main Street in Salinas, head southeast on 101 S (El Camino Real) ~45 mi

2.                  Exit Jolon Rd/County Hwy G14 near King City

3.                  Turn right at G14/Jolon Rd (follow signs for Jolon Rd), drive ~17.6 mi, over the Jolon grade, to Mission Rd. (entrance to Ft. Hunter Liggett)

4.                  Turn right, go through Hunter Liggett security entrance (you’ll need picture ID, current insurance and current registration for your vehicle) and drive west ~5.2 miles (1^st 4 miles are rural, last mile you’ll pass through developed part of Fort Hunter Liggett – Hearst Hacienda is the big Spanish-style building on the hill on your right)

5.                  Bear left into the driveway for Mission San Antonio, ~0.4 mi ahead

Mission San Antonio to Whigmaleerie, Lockwood, CA

6.                  Take Mission Rd southeast, back to Fort Hunter Liggett entrance

7.                  Turn right on G14/Jolon Rd, drive southeast ~5.9 mi (into the San Antonio Valley, to the Lockwood store on your left)

8.                  At the Lockwood store (corner of Jolon Rd and Interlake Rd/Lockwood Jolon Rd), turn left on Lockwood Jolon Rd, drive north 0.5 mi (past the trailer park on your left)

9.                  Turn right on Lockwood Rd (small white Christian Church on the corner, former Lockwood Hall), drive 1.0 mi east (to where the paved road ends)

10.              Turn left on Lockwood-San Ardo Rd, entrance to Whigmaleerie is 0.4 mi on your left, just before corner of  Martinez Rd & Lockwood-San Ardo Rd
